Do you remember these circulating the net back in the day?
I actually believed one of them, in which the virus had the icon of a bear, but was in fact part of Windows. Everyone I knew was scared since they were "infected" with this virus as well, and they were all wondering how they got it.
However, I did some research and found it to be a hoax, and alerted my friends, especially the ones who sent it to me, boy were they relieved
You should always research it, before deleting anything, unless your anti-virus picks it up, but even then, anti viruses can make a mistake, so keep that in mind.
