Anyone use Digg in this forum?
I have an account and voted on a few diggs but that's it. I don't really spend much time there, but occasionally I'll check up on what's on the front page.
Yes, I started using Digg a lot more; I've been taking the time to digg most of my blog posts, and I've been receiving more and more traffic to my website, also my PR went up
Interesting, I was going to digg some of my own stuff, but I was scared I'd get it labeled as spam or something.
But I guess as long as it's relevant and unique, there shouldn't be a problem.
i have posted a few things from this forum on digg for promotional reasons but to be honest i don't spend any time on there and it really doesn't interest me much.
Most tech things there are interesting, like once some myspace "hacker" leaked the usernames/passwords which he got using his bots and his phishing site.
Sadly, a decent portion of those accounts were of legitimate people who fell into his "trap." But they should of checked the URL address when they clicked his link and they would of realized it was a fake site!
Other times sites that contain a big list of something get digged, and sometimes the list comes in handy later on. But I don't regularly go there either. It's more informational than Myspace though without a doubt
i pretty much use digg as my only source for news. i know that sad.
I've often encounter a link from Digg when I'm searching for something on Google. Sometimes it's quite relevant, and usually if something has over 100 Diggs it's definitely worth checking out.
digg is very much for offbeat and interesting things on the web. i wouldn't use it for proper news, i would use the bbc.
True, it's not for official or everyday type of news. But then again it covers some stuff not found in BBC
