Well, It seems everyone loves the look of flash but its so hard to do if you are new to it. I have found a fantastic program called swish, swish is basically a simpler version of flash with all of the functionalities in flash.
It has a simple user interface and it alot easier to understand, I suggest you give it a go if you ever want to learn flash!

flash is nice but i would never use it for a whole site. apart from bots like google can't read the content so you don't get listed, it puts people off and is really inaccessibly.
but if you do decide to use it i would just use macromedia flash straight off, yes it is hard to use to begin wit but the benefits down the line are a lot better.
I only use flash in moderation, headers, adverts, games etc. I dont really do whole sites, although I have done in the past.
I suggested Swish as alot of new users will get discouraged by Macromedia flash (Or adobe now I guess) whereas swish is easier then you can move onto flash once you have a better understanding of animating.
Thanks for the advice.
Learning Flash when you are a newbie can be a headache, I can understand that. The best for learning complicated things is using simple tools and do simple things first and a lot of practising for more difficult things.
