I haven't seen a site attempt to install any malicious software on my PC in a while.

I usually got a lot of those sites around 2000-2002. But now either the browsers are correctly patched, and are not affected, or they finally laid off. Now of course there's still some sites out there, but they are probably not even worth visiting. Before, some lyrics sites or things along those lines, tried to install some browser add-ons and other adware/spyware.

As for spyware/adware, it's not gone, but at least it's not directly embedded onto sites. It's hidden inside .exe's and zip files. Paranoid
true, they have definitely dropped in number, or maybe our browsers and firewalls etc have just significantly improved
or maybe we don't know they are :p
naaaah thats silly i'm on a mac Big Grin

yeah of course, apple just respond extreamly quickly to the problems it has. unlike microsoft.
Every software is floored, it helps that most people use windows and hence the larger amount of malicous software in virus's

i think its the fact that the web browsers are better nowadays and windows is updated to resist a little better
