I don't know all that much about Macs, but I want to buy a new laptop, does anyone have any ideas. I basicaly want it for Internet, Gaming, and Web Design/ Graphics Design.
I can't decide what I want, and I don't really know whats best!

well since you want gaming i wouldn't use a mac. but i wouldn't go with dell either lol.
i would look at other computer manufacturers but in the UK dell isn't much of a big player compared to others.
Yeah, Macs aren't that gamer friendly, unless you play open source games, or games made only for Mac. However, for everything else a Mac can get the job done. Make sure the laptop has a good video card, that means if it has Intel graphics, it's crap! It should say ATI or NVIDIA. However, the xpress 1150 series is for casual gaming, if you want to play the latest games you need better card, and your talking about $1000+ laptop. Probably a $1500 laptop, at least in the USA, will be able to play most 2005- 2006 games at a playable rate. What games do you plan on playing?
As for Dells, they are overpriced in my opinion, you could probably get a better laptop for the same price with more features, just a different brand.

I perhaps wouldnt go for a mac, although they are good, they can tend to be very annoying to use, I know i dont use my mac anywhere as much as I use my pc. Macs are great for CUbase and music editing though.

For me I would not choose dell or mac. I would rather spend the money on other brands which offers more value-added services.
