Gears of Halo has has an extremely active main site, yet no one's joining the forums. Our main site always has anywhere from 40-300! people visiting it. Gears of Halo

normally 1 in every 100 visitors to a site will contribute to content.
i would advise making the forum more of a feature because there is only a little link in the corner on the menu to it.
try making a big 100x100 button in the site bar or something saying 'check out our forums'.

Yeah the forum link DOESN'T stick out. If I took a quick glance at the homepage, I would assume there was no forum. Maybe you can even make the header image take them to the forum. So if they click on it, they will be taken automatically to the forum, and they might even sign up/post.
