I am currently using AVG and spyware and it has been fine until lately when I am sure i have some spyware.
anyway i am looking for some spyware and antivirus software which is light weight and effective.
i don't mind paying for a good one, can anyone recommend one?

One of my clients (in computer sales) recommends Avast, Ad-Aware and Spybot (
http://www.newnanpc.com/downloads.php) . I've used Ad-Aware and Spybot and seemed to stop my spyware program. I've also used Microsoft's Windows defender. .and that worked for me too.

i used spybot before and it was ok. i also used ad-aware and it destroyed my computer because it must have selected some windows core files and when i just went auto delete all it must have got rid of them.
i am trying the windows defender now and seems to work ok although didn't pick up anything even when i know i have spyware cause i have popups every 20 minutes of some crappy site!?!?!
I use AVG and
SpyBot I've never had any problems with any of them, and they work really well!
