Which do you prefer? A clean light skin or a dark skin? I'm more of a light skin fan. Easier on the eyes in my opinion. And you?
It depends what kind of website it is. For non-gaming sites, a light skin. And for gaming sites, dark skins, but there are some cases where even in gaming sites, a light skin looks better.
I prefer light skin sites. There was this one forum on the topic of classic rock, which i wanted to be more active in, but the boards color scheme, was pretty bloody awful on the eyes, it was black, with a light green font color. lordy, lordy.
light skins are best for sites that attract normal people. dark skins are good for freaks because they feel more at home
I like lighter skins, they look more professional to me.
both light or dark skins are ok. I think that if the skin is done properly they should have no problems. Sometimes people make everything too light or too dark and you get a whole lot of viewing issues (the text is so faded.). Good contrast makes the best site, my most prefer site are it the middle, sites that use both light and dark but not right in the middle are best.
It depends on the website and the content on the website for me, but general I like darker themed websites.

Well that's a skin for an OS, not a site, but the concept is there. If it's a forum they should have both a light and dark skin, and let their users choose. In the end the content is the same, but if the user doesn't like the skin, or can't read it that well, that's where the problem occurs.
