Have any of you ever used Windows 3.1? I used it back in the day, it was actually pretty good. Believe it or not, my old PC (that used Windows 3.1) loaded up faster than my current one which has XP installed.

Well of course it would load faster, there is nothing to load. That is like comparing the time it takes for MS paint to open and Adobe Photoshop.
yes i remember this. my grandad had it on his computer a while back, can't really remember much of it tho.

But you forget that you wouldn't run 3.1 on a computer with 512mb ram and a 2Ghz processor :p

Hehe, MS Paint hasn't changed much. Microsoft finally touched up Solitaire in Vista, they used the same version from 3.1 up until XP (besides some minor changes).
It's like looking back. I worked in 3.1 and still remember those days. But those were simple applications and Windows have come a long way.
Windows 3.11 was my first gui OS.Those they was legendary.And the funny thing is,i had german windows version not english.I still remember word abbrechen(that's mean cancel)
