Many times I have felt the need to use one messenger and connect all protocols. Recently I have tried two of them Trillian (Basic) and GAIM. While Gaim is free Trillian basic is also free but I guess it has some restrictions in connecting with Google. Anyone here used GAIM?
I use GAIM on linux, and it has always served me well. For the most part I use Adium, a multiprotocol messenger for OS X.
I'm using Trillian professional.
Great program! Am using it for a couple years now.
Has some problems every now and then with file transfers or messages that could not be delivered. But this doesn't happen very often.
I've used GAIM before as well, it's pretty good. Works well on Windows as well as Linux. If you just use AIM, you can try NAIM for Linux, it's console based. It looks like your chatting via Dos Smile

Yup, quality app Wink

I would though like to see Miranda IM on Linux Platform. In my XP it's Miranda which is running and it's also a great IM with many many plugins providing flexibility and add-ons like RSS reader and Weather update etc. But for now it's only GAIM on Linux.
