I have just made a website, its about mountain biking. I was wondering how I could make money from it without flooding it with adverts. I have currently got 1 small advert on the main page and a donate button. Is there anything that I can do which will earn money, without spoiling the site?
well, if not with ads, you must find some member that really love the site to get some donations
I think that some advertising aren't bad at all, as long as they are not too many
i think a couple of ads on a page shouldn't damage the design to much.
As long as you don't have popups and place 1 or 2 ads on the pages such as middle of the page or the footer.
Just as people have already mentioned, small ad wont hurt much. The bigger problem is bringing in the traffic.
i actually think forums look weird with no ads.
once you get a higher pagerank and more traffic you can also sell advertising space related to mountain biking.
