Goonj in Hindi means - an echo. It is the name of our organisation and the website URL is in my signature. It is a very simple site, we use it to give info about ourselves, and have no ads or money making propositions on it.
Please do laook at it, and let us know if there are any uncomplicated ways of improving it. I learnt Dreamweaver on my own - and with the help of a friend of mine - built this site.
There are ways of doing it to make it look better, but reramp would be so much easier in my point of view.
A revamp is not possible at this stage of our organisation's website. I would prefer to do simple changes. We are planning to add photograph album pages to each article, since we feel that there are not enough visual images.
But please do give me suggestions on how I can make changes.
I think it does it's job, but you have no color scheme.Text on the front page is unorganized and all random colors. The orange box column on the left hand side is great, I would leave that as is. Basically it looks like you want your page to be orange and tan, so use this site

organization could be a bit better, some of the navigation could be group together and reorder to make it better.
The main problem of your site is not that it lack style, it lacks format, fonts are all different colour, some things should be bolded and others should not, pictures are not display to full potential, navigation can be simplified, which is the main reason i recommend reramping.

I am not afraid of losing content. I have all of it on my computer. We cannot afford the services of a web designer, so the site is limited to my limited abilities. I work with Dreamweaver, ( and I am not too profiecient on it either ! ) and a total revamp - will be on the cards as soon as we have a little more money to spare.
I am travelling from Saturday till Monday. Will be back on the computer on Tuesday, Indian time. I will then pick up each suggestion one by one and work them.

many designers do work for free, just to add good work to there portfolio, genreally it is done at the start of your portfolio.
