My router seems to be junk and I really did not want to buy it in the first place. I have a Dlink 624 and it doesn't seem to be working that good. Can anyone give me some advice on a better product to get. I ultimately have wanted to get the Netgear Rangemax WPN824 but i wanted to see what other people thought first. Any ideas?
WRT54G is pretty good. If you can get an early version (pre 5-6) you can flash it with an even better custom firmware such as dd-wrt or hyper wrt (google it up)
it depends on what your walls are made off, if your house is victorian or georgian, belkin's are good, if it's 40's to present day, then you should get a netgear.
i got the cheapest one in the shop lol.

but it works amazingly well, just shows the none brands are as good.
Linksys is what we use, and those a PoS!

I had a hell of a time, and still do, getting it to work with Linux. Good thing, iMac G5s came with Wireless cards, it was plug and go for me. Well, minus the plug lol.
Linksys I was going to say is the biggest POS! I have to unplug it all the time to restart it! (This was at my friends house) but I agreee completly with Josh!
We use wireless equiptment from Cisco, which never works right (Linksys is a division of Cisco, go figure.) It is so finicky, and good luck getting it to work with linux. It doesnt even really like to play nice with OSX if it doesnt have to.
I'm also using Linksys eversince.  This is the best for me and I've been using it for around 4 year already.  Though I've bought 4 times of it due to power fluctuation.
I have a Linksys and i hate it. It always cuts my connection and I have to reset almost daily. Go for netgear.
