Only worth it if you have a good power supply, backup power supply, FAST upstream, and if you have the technical knowledge. If not, stay away from it, at a slow speed, it will only be useful for personal use.

Though I wouldn't recommend using it for your main website, I would recommend doing this just for the educational value alone. Especially if it's a Linux webserver. You might be surprised at how much you will learn and how much it will help you in other areas, such as selecting a professional web host.
