Well folks drupal 5 has just been released with loads of new features including a install system so you do not need to manually set it up.

I have published a demo which anyone can check out at http://www.daveredfern.com/drupal/

the admin account can be accessed by using admin123 for the username and password.

if you want to test it out you can download it at http://drupal.org/drupal-5.0-beta1 although i wouldn't use it for a proper website yet as it is only beta and may have some bugs.

they have made some significant changes to the system, especially when it comes to user friendliness, which i think could be the current problem with many not liking it.

well whatever happens i am always going to love it Big Grin

dave.

I love the new improvements made and i think you will.
I think someone changed the password lol
nope, working fine.

Err. pardon my ignorance but what is Drupal?
a content management system which allows you to edit, update and manage content of nearly any website without editing html files.

you create a theme which is runs on.

other cms include joomla, xoop and e107.
Oh ok, i know what CMS's are, i just didn't know what drupal was. When you say "i published" does that mean that you made this?
no, i ain't that good.  i have just setup and host a demo of the newly released beta version of it.
if you have digg, please digg this - http://digg.com/design/Drupal_5_Demo_Available
just to say i have upgraded this to beta2 which is the latest release.  you can still access it using the same details.
