i had a go on an xbox360 2 days ago and i was surprisingly disappointed. the graphics were a little better than ps2 but not great, it was big, crashed twice.
i am looking forward to the wii and although it won't have high def, dvd and other things it seems pretty cool especially with the controllers.
which do you look forward to?
Got an xBox 360 in my kitchen at uni, hooked up to a HDTV, it's bluddy amazing, dunno what game u played, but the graphics are sharp as on it, Ping pong is an amazing game, and Fifa 2007 is quality.
Really hate the ps3, so over rated, and sony have lied so much about it.
Now the Wii, this looks amazing, deffinatly getting one of these, so amazing.
i linked this one to a hdtv and you could see a difference to the normal tv but it don't think it was amazing. we played about 6 different games and although it was good in parts i was expecting it to be better, especially after seeing screenshots of the other consoles.

I'm looking forward to the ps3, I think it will be better than the 360.

not necessary, the gamecube was different yes, but i'm sure there will be other kind of game for the wii also.
i'm a fan of sony, so i really look foward to it, i've seen a review movie clip of it somewhere, it seems pretty big, but it has lot's of functionallities and bunch of slots, ports, etc. but i've read also that it needs lots of power, like lots more than a strong tuned pc, if i see the article(s) i'll post them here.
personally i think ps's of sony have always been better than microsoft's xboxes, i dunno, might be because i'm a big fan of sony.

Just went to the mall.tried out all 3 at the same time, one after another.
Wii: On display was a racing game, and the steering was just like a car! Not too many buttons to get confused about, just buttons that are necessary(unlike gamecube). I wonder if there is a way to adjust controller sensitivity, because it was really sensitive(which I liked) but other people might not like. Graphics weren't as sharp as the other systems, but it didn't effect gameplay. Real fun system!
Xbox 360: On display was a basketball game. Graphics were sharp on the HiDEF they had it set up on.but I don't have a High Def.Gameplay was no different.If your a guy who wants the sharpest graphics there is this could be one of your options. Also have good online play.but then y not just play on the computer
PS3: Graphics nearly identical to Xbox 360, also on display was a basketball game. Same controls as PS2, but w/ no dual shock. It is said that down the road the software developed for this badboy will far surpass the 360 in graphics. no change in gameplay
Winner: Wii, if you have a ps2 or xbox already, don't even bother unless u really want a 360 or ps3. They are identical to their predecessors except for the sharper graphics. Wii is by far in my opinion the most fun of the 3 w/ the interactive layout
when the wii was released they said about the HD not being on it and they said it isn't required because games do not have as many shades and gradients to a movie.
all three offer gaming over the internet.
another point about the ps3 when you purchase it you have to download 1 hours worth of updates to it through wifi or it won't work.
the wii definatly looks the best and its the best price, i friend has pre ordered it so when he gets it me and other friends will be straight round there to play it lol.
But to be honest I don't think any of them are fantastic and you can get as good graphics on the pc, but a pc does other things too.
@gaz, i can't remember if it was this topic or another about the over heating of the xbox 60. and it has been a problem, they recalled thousands of them at the beginning and their solution was the whacking big power supply. you may also notice a loud fan which is continuously running. i don't think it was a problem if it was in the middle of the floor or something but if it was at the side of the tv or in a cabinet where is had little space the breathe.
