Is it worth it to get a table pc for coding.  I really do not enjoy sitting in a cramped room looking up at a monitor. I think it would be much better to have the pc flat on the table writing on it, like it is a piece of paper. That being said I highly doubt that would work out. Anyone with experience using tablets? Of course I would get one that converts back to a regular laptop if I don't like itNod
Well, if you get the right laptop it should be great to work with programs like dreamweaver, ect. I think tyros8000 uses his coding/ graphics design programs on his laptop also.
that wouldn't work, my friend has a tablet pc, and it's just not worth it, get a normal laptop, no real advantage for web design.
i use a laptop occassionally to code but for photoshop work i use the main computer for the pure reason laptops are slower than my pc.

tablets have had quite a lot of bad press lately with complaints about the OS etc.

I actually type faster than I write so it wouldn't be any good for me.

I can type over 5 times faster than i can write, and it is easily achivable by anyone.

it would be weird having to write code to typing it.
i dunno, i think a tablet pc is good for graphic designing works and stuff. actually i think you can "click" faster on a tablet pc than on a classic pc, 'cause it's directly on the screen, and you work more precisely. so i think if you need to draw on it, it's worth buying it. but it's indeed easier to type than to write, but actually on most tablet pc's, you can type on the screen itself.
a Tablet PC works like this, it is a normal laptop, and the screen isn't used untill, you turn it around and fold it up like a notepad, in which it switches to a different mode, and you use a stylus pen, which means you can't type, it's not that precise, and a Wacom graphics tablet is much better!

lmao, I've done it before, its is extremely weird!

whatever, i still want to have a tablet pc in the future, and it probably will be improved by the time i buy it.
