i think they are getting there but not quite a monopoly.

it is difficult to enforce laws on sites as it is a global thing but i remember reading that microsoft had to split their companies as they would have been worth more than the american government.

but a lot of people have worked hard in google to get it where it is so why should they be restricted on how big they are?
Google is not a monpoly, they are not, unfairly shunning other companies from compeating with them, take tesco's for instance, google and tescos are very similar, google is a search engine, tesco's is a super market, BUT google also sells ads. and tesco's also sells life insurance, there is nothing to stop a company from being in more than one market, and that is not a monopoly.

Microsoft on the other hand is! you go to pc world, and you buy a pc, what is pre-installed on it, Not just Windows, but every single one of microsofts packages, from outlook to IE to Works. and they are being punished for it (currently paying fines, and more action is being layed down in the future)

And did you know if bill gates had a pocket full of $20 bills, and there was a hole in that pocket, and one fell out every 3 seconds, he would lose money if he stopped what he was doing, and picked it up.
Also if he put all of Microsoft's money under his bed, in $20 bills, and then rolled off the bed at night, it would take him nearly 10 minutes to hit the floor.
Yes, I think they are becoming a monopoly, also they sell stuuf, not just indirectly such as Ads and such, but. http://www.googlestore.com

But, they are in no way a monoply, as they don't have sole control over one market, or near sole control, they are just in lots of markets, and thus can't be classed as a monopoly Wink

So your saying that their Annual Revenue: $7.14 billion, they basically own thw market.

Actually google makes about $0.12 per search Big Grin I have to find the article I found that from again.
Here I found two articles;

I was only trying to make a point that they do make money and all. But I know now that they are infact not a monopoly.
