I am new to trying to make some graphics. Which programs do you guys suggest i try to get started?
Thanks for the input everyone. I have thought of just trying Gimp for the time being.
I would suggest that you start using GIMP. It is a free program and it is very easy to use. I have made some pretty nice Graphic's with that.
Are you doing web graphics, print, or both? Fireworks is pretty user friendly and could be used for both if you wanted. If you are just starting out it helps to use one program get to know it well and then the others will be familiar to you somewhat.
google gimp brushes, and download some, they save a ton of time so u don't have to make your own!
