where will you get the different parts? here where i'm living it's very hard to find stuff to build a computer yourself. and if the pc you're going to build isn't the best of the best, it's not worth building it yourself, it will turn out more expensive.
on the other hands, i'm curious; what will be the specs?
make sure you buy all your stuff online, ebuyer is pretty good for deals
and btw, if you don't know what ur doing, it could be expsensive and take alot of time.
its not difficult. follow online guides and the instructions and you should be fine. computers are designed to be built by idiots.
i have had bad experiences with ebuyer and one of my friends sued them! try dabs.

what about if you buy a motherboard and a cpu which don't fit together, ouch! processor could be overheat
.
a bit serious: i don't have experience with that, so i can't say it will really happen that way. but normally, the preconfigured pc is built to get t he best performance out of every single component.
like when you build it yourself, you'll need to search which type of cpu works the best with which type of main board, etc.

really? i have used ebuyer for a good 3 or 4 years now, had no troubles at all.
it was when i brought a pc and it was alllll messed up. i didn't buy anything from them after that, although i friend got a nice amount of money from them.
i suppose different people have different experiences.
i have practically rebuilt my current PC anyway.
i doubt tigerdirect delivers to the UK anyway. i use ebay, amazon, dabs and pc world to get my stuff. when pc world as offers they can be as cheap as ebay!
