Do you guys build or buy your computers? I usually just by my desktops. I do sometimes update them or make some additions so that they better fit my needs.
buy. i need just a normal computer for normal use. not for gaming and stuff, so it'd be cheaper if i just buy it. i do add RAM or harddisks if it's necessary, which is not the case yet.
I purchase my computers.I'm haven't got the skillz to build a computer.
I brought my PC but that was about 4 years ago. i have since upgraded most the components in it so it might as well be built by me.
Most of the time i build them, buy all the parts, take scraps from another etc. but with my mac you have to buy.

just wondering, Gaz, i'm kinda mac n00b. can you actually expand memories - ram or harddisk, whatever. or something on a mac computer? i have never seen a person who has an Apple computer before in my whole life. i only see macs in a store.
yeah you can, but really depends on the model to what extent you can.
I do both, like if I see a nice buy. I might buy it and rebuild it. or just build it from random parts I have laying around or somthing.
I wish to build my own computer, it is so much cheaper
I bought an Emachine computer, window xp, it costed me $800
I actually don't think it is that much cheaper? I may be wrong.
I hear dell has really bad customer service, which I don't understand because they have so many customizable features for their computers.
I've never had a problem.
