I'm not sure if all of you are aware of this, but somethings updating the software drivers can IMPROVE performance. This holds true especially for video cards, and if your running a new operating system. For example, if your video card works on Vista, and you find out that they released a new driver yesterday, I'd highly recommend you download it as they might of fixed some glitches/issues that you might have not even noticed, or even ones that you noticed. And if your device doesn't work yet, check the driver page as they might have updated it to work.
